Make sure to bring a towel, bottle of water and wear comfortable gym clothing. We will provide all other equipment and have mats available to use.

Our HIIT classes are smaller and limited to just 12 participants. This allows our Coach to spend more time with each participant.

Yes, you will need to prebook into the class using the GymMaster app or on our Member Portal. You will just need to click on “Book a Class”. If you’re not sure how to do this, please see one of our staff at reception.

You have up to 30 minutes before a class to cancel your booking. You can cancel your booking on the GymMaster app. If you cannot cancel within the app, please give us a call or send us an email to let us know you won’t be able to make it, so that we can free up the spot for someone else to participate.

Yes, our HIIT class caters to beginner to intermediate participants. If you are inexperienced. Please let our instructing Coach know before your class!

You will need to have medical clearance from your doctor or health professional before participating in one of our group classes. If you have any limitations or recommendations from your health professional, please arrive 5 minutes early to discuss this with our Coach running the class.

Once you have checked in at reception or one of our after-hours doors, please head to our turfed functional training area where you can start with some light stretching until the class starts.

Yes, absolutely! You can bring a friend along to join our classes. If they are an ONYX Member or Fitness Passport member, it’s free for them. Please just ensure they book in via the app. If they are not a member, they can pay a $20 casual fee to participate. Please try to inform us in advance so we can book them in as well.

Yes, doing our HIIT classes can improve stamina by challenging your cardiovascular system and muscles, making them more efficient over time.

HIIT training is a very effective exercise method to promote fat loss and generally results in greater fat loss when compared to endurance training when performed for an equal amount of time. It also has a greater impact on metabolism and muscle preservation. However, to lose fat it is also essential to follow a consistent weight loss diet!
